 Or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Economics, Banking &

Finance, Engineering, Geology, Statistics, Computer Science or other relevant discipline in regards to the field.

 Literacy in computer operation with good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suit, Web Applications, Spreadsheet and the use of relevant system applications for efficient delivery of services.

 Strong leadership, organizational and management skills.

 Quality Analytical skills.

 Good knowledge of the Nigeria Tax Laws and appreciation of their application and understanding of the regulatory framework within which the FIRS operates;

 Good knowledge of business/industry environment within which taxpayers operate;

 Strong team spirit and ability to effectively execute any assigned duty;

 Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

 Ability to work as a regulator with the courage to ensure full compliance with laws; Other relevant required skills include:

 Human Resource Management and development.

 Proven track record of delivering set targets.

 Experience in applications of tax laws and enforcement of tax laws.

 Efficiency in accountability and good knowledge of taxation principles and laws.

Required Character Attribute for FIRS Recruitment 2019:

 Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

 There should no history of any criminal offence or should not have been indicted at or convicted or dismissed from their places of work or other environment.
